The only recorded event was when Pikit was established as an Agricultural colony to implement the Osmeña Colony Act of 1912. The first sixty five (65) families from Cebu arrived in Pikit on June 17, 1913. Pikit was then a wilderness so that settlers were concentrated around the fort and later moved to other places along the Pikit-Paidu Pulangi road. The Pikit-Paidu Pulangiroad was then the only road and the shortest route going to Cotabato from Pikit,
